The North Leinster Giants football club is a relative newcomer to the Australian Rules Football League of Ireland, but our history is as storied as any in Ireland.
The club in it’s current form came into existence midway through 2011 with the amalgamation of the Midland Tigers and West Dublin Saints clubs who had competed as separate entities within ARFLI for a number of years; the Tigers since the League’s foundation in 2000 and the Saints since 2005.
Initially the amalgamated club competed in the league as the North Leinster Kangaroos, but following formal affiliation with the the AFL’s Greater Western Sydney Giants in April 2012, the club became the North Leinster Giants.
